"Amazing
Grace" is a Christian hymn published in 1779, with words written by
the English poet and Anglican clergyman John Newton (1725–1807), a former slave trader.
Newton wrote the words from personal experience. “Amazing Grace” is
probably the most beloved hymn of the last two centuries. The soaring spiritual
describing profound religious elation is estimated to be performed 10 million
times annually in numerous countries and has appeared on over 11,000 albums. Listen
to "Amazing Grace" by the Bagad de Lann-Bihoué - a Bagad is a
Breton pipe band. The Bagad of Lann-Bihoué is the bagad of the French Navy and
the only remaining professional French military band. Formed in 1952 at the naval air
station of Lann-Bihoué, Brittany, the ever-changing bagad lineups approximately 30
percussionists, bagpipes and bombard players. The following version of
"Amazing Grace" was recorded in April 2014 by the Bagad of
Lann-Bihoué with musicians from the French Army, Air Force and Navy.

1952 à la base navale de Lann-Bihoué ; il comprend en moyenne quelques 30 percussionnistes, joueurs de cornemuse et de bombardes. Cette version
de « Amazing Grace » a été enregistrée en avril 2014 par le bagad de Lann-Bihoué
accompagné de musisiens des diverses forces armées françaises : l'armée de
terre, l'armée de l'air et la marine nationale.
